Hans'
and Anne's oldest son Iver Herman was born October 18, 1890 in Watson,
Minnesota. In keeping with Norwegian tradition, he
was named after his maternal grandfather. His
family moved to Binford when he was almost 14 years old.
He married Clara Hanson on Valentine's Day, 1915. They had three
children. Iver served as depot agent at the railroad stations in Eckelson
and Dazey, North
Dakota. Later,
he ran a milk station in Sutton, North Dakota.
Iver died in 1939.
