Hole-Kanten Today

These photos of the Hole-Kanten farm were taken in 2015. Kanten was a husmannsplass (home of a tenant farmer) on the larger farm Hole (pronounced whole-eh).   This is where Iver, Anne, and their  children lived before leaving for America.
Today, the outbuildings all date to the mid-1800s, so they were used by Iver and his family. The original cabin lies inside the current house, which has been built around it.  There is an exposed original log wall inside the house.
