Many generations of Geline's parents' families had lived in the Valdres Valley of Oppland County, Norway. Gulbrand's father moved the family just a short distance into Land Kommune. Geline, Andreas, and Gulbrand were all born while the family resided on the Thomle holdings (on a place called Kassenborg) in Land and attended the Haugner (later known as Nordsinni) Church. |
