Valdres and Land, Oppland Fylke

The Valdres Valley is in Oppland Fylke (County). It includes the kommunes (districts) of Vang, Øystre Slidre, Vestre Slidre, Nord Aurdal, Sør Aurdal, and Etnedal.

 

The Kassenborg ancestors were born in Sør Aurdal, at the far south of the Valley. Gulbrand and Astri were living "just across the border" in Nordre Land kommune when their children, including Geline, were born.
