Katherine E. Swanson, 79, Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005, in the nursing home.
Katherine E. Hegland was born Aug. 25, 1926, in Fargo, where she grew up and attended school. She later moved with her family to Omaha, Neb., where she graduated from Omaha Tech High School. On June 26, 1948, she married Earl G. Swanson in Moorhead. They lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area. He died in 1991. She worked for Clay County Social Services.
She is survived by a son, three daughters, a brother, a sister, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday from 5 to 8, with a prayer service at 7, in Korsmo Funeral Service, Moorhead.
Funeral: Tuesday at 2 in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
