The baby of the Alm family, Ruby, was born on March 5, 1913. She grew up in Binford but eventually moved to Fargo. She put herself through business college and accepted a position as a deputy clerk with the Federal courts in  North Dakota.

She married Gerald Grover in 1950. They had two children. As a farmwife, Ruby kept the books and even drove a truck during harvest for a couple of years. In 1985, she and her husband retired to their lake home. Jerry died in 1989.

Ruby returned to Moorhead in 1991 and resided there until her death, just two days short of her 89th birthday, on March 3, 2002.
