Oscar Alm was born in Watson Minnesota in January of 1893. He moved with his family to Binford, North Dakota in 1905.

WWI Draft Registration

He served in the Marines during and after World War I, stationed in Haiti.

 

Oscar married Hazel Maurer on June 24, 1920.  They had two children. Oscar was a mail carrier. In the spirit of "Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow..." when the roads became impassable in the winter months, he made his deliveries by dropping them from a plane! He was active in the Oddfellows fraternal organization.

 Oscar died in 1951.
