Bjorn's Minnesota Land Patent
In the mid-1850's, Gunil's father Bjorn moved the family from Iowa to Minnesota. He filed a land patent (using the name "Bjorgov Gunderson") April 2, 1857:
"The Northwest quarter of the Northwest quarter of section Twenty Two in township one hundred and four, Range nine West, in the district of Lands subject to sale at Brownsville, not Chatfield, Minnesota Territory, containing forty acres."
